EMSINA National Spatial Developers Meeting
Time & Location
About The Event
NSW SES will host a meeting of the EMSINA Emergency Management Spatial Developers Group at their headquarters in Wollongong this year from 14 to 16 August. NSW SES HQ is located at 93-99 Burelli St, Wollongong NSW 2500. The meeting will begin at lunchtime on Tuesday, 14 August and will wrap up at the same time on Thursday, 16 August. The two-day meeting will be roughly divided into two parts:
1) Updates from each participating agency on their work in spatial, emergency management development over the past year. Updates last about 30-40 minutes apiece. Topics include goals kicked, pain-points, technology that is or is not working for us, opportunities for interagency sharing, etc.
2) Specific presentations or workshops by individual developers or agencies on particular topics. We actively encourage attendees to submit agenda topics for this portion. Agenda items should be planned for about 30-40 minutes. Of course, we hope you will want to present new work you have done that you would like to show your peers, but an agenda topic could also be a technical or policy problem you would like to workshop with other developers or a proposal you have for a cooperative process.
Please submit agenda items to by Monday, 16 July. We will send out the final agenda by 20 July.
This Spatial Developers group is committed to building the most fit-for-purpose geospatial applications for the emergency management sector through innovation, sharing code/applications, problem solving and creating closed trusting networks with technical peers across Australia's EM community. The EMSINA Spatial Developers group brings together spatial developers from member agencies and their affiliated Land Management agencies, with a wide range of experience and expertise in different languages and applications.
