Research shows LGBTQIA+ employees are less likely to be out at work today than in 2022.
International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination (IDAHOBIT) on 17 May marks the anniversary of homosexuality being removed from the International Classification of Diseases in 1990. IDAHOBIT is an opportunity to celebrate this milestone and other advancements in LGBTQIA+ equality, all while recognising the barriers still faced and the work needed to remove them.
This year, the IDAHOBIT theme is ‘The Power of Communities’. You are invited to join in on Monday 19 May, 1pm – 2:15pm AEST for a special cross-government panel event hosted by CSIRO.
Join ABC News Presenter Nate Byrne and colleagues from CSIRO, the Bureau of Meteorology, Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation, and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority to discuss their experiences, and the power of community.
Please note - this event will be held online
