The Bushfire Centre of Excellence is the first of its kind in Australia and is located about an hour south of Perth in Nambeelup. The Centre is the primary vehicle for the DFES Rural Fire Division to distribute and share information about bushfire management in Western Australia. Our key priorities are bushfire training, exploring lessons learned, identifying and prioritising bushfire research and examining the use of fire by traditional custodians.
